We've just printed and delivered More than a Game - The Story of the first Street Child World Cup.
Published by UK human rights organisation Amos Trust in partnership with Momentum Arts, and designed by Wilf Whitty at Ratiotype, the book documents the background and experiences of teams of children from seven countries, including the UK, as they came together in Durban last year to play football and highlight the campaign against the abuse and exploitation of children around the world.
The book uses vivid photography and text to drive home its messages in a powerful way, not least through the words of the children themselves. As Thamires Dos Santos, 15, from Sao Paolo, said: " Sometimes it is hell on the streets but when I play football I feel as if I am in heaven. Coming here and listening to the stories of other street children has made me realise that I'm not alone in struggling." Streetchild World Cup has an excellent website with additional resources.
More than a Game is B5 landscape format, 64pp, and we printed it on Howard Smith Paper's Think 4 White, which is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified and carbon balanced through the World Land Trust, an international conservation charity. ISBN 978-0-9517904-2-7 Price £10.00
