Print consulting
For perfect print

Call us a little old hat but we haven't yet been lured into the tick box, SUBMIT NOW, world of print-on-demand and automatic estimating systems. They have their place if you're buying pedestrian print on (bog) standard paper but if you want something that's a little special then your first port of call shouldn't be to an impersonal, homogeneous website. You should first speak with a good printer.
A good printer will listen to you. They should understand what it is you want to achieve aesthetically and commercially before recommending appropriate papers and processes.
Email your local printer, call them up, pop in and get a feel for how they operate. Go beyond seeing print samples. Sneak a peek at their noticeboard. Look at what is displayed on the walls. What are they proud of?
And if you're new to print don't be afraid to ask any nagging questions - printing has a long history and is often shrouded in arcane language. At Calverts we regularly run free informal print workshops, helping you cut through the jargon to produce the perfect piece of print. Please get in touch if you're interested.
